To visit Indian Temples

We were visited Indian Temples on 4th of September,2009. I visited a lot of pagodas in Vietnam but this is first time I go to visit Indian Temples. I am very happy. We were visited two temples. Before we go to visit, my teacher, Satya told us that we had to cover scarf on head, including girls and boys because this is rules of Hinduism.

The first Temple we arrived, we didn't cover scarf on head. Before we came in Temple, we had to wash hands and feets. This expresses to respect The God. When we came in, we saw some people were praying. We were introduced about Indian Temple and its rules. In order to illustrate about rules of Indian Temple, a man practiced in action to we saw. After introducing, we had lunch at Temple. Our lunch was vegetarian. It had smell very strange and some peoples didn't eat.

The second Temple we arrived, we had to cover scarf on head. In here, we were also introduced about this Temple. Then, we were guide how to make cakes and we were eaten cakes from we made ourselves. We are very funny.

The scope of Indian Temple is very interesting.

Dear Satya,

When I heard about your sad story, I remember to my aunt’s story. This is a sad story about the love.

My aunt is 54 years old now. She is a farmer. 30 years ago, she had a beautiful love. She and her darling felt in love. They were engaged. They also prepared for your married. My Grandfather and Grandmother were very happy. But then he and his family told something to offend my aunt, my Grandfather and my Grandmother. I don't know what they say. My aunt broke her heart. She decided to give betrothal gifts back. And no marriage happened. From there, she was scare of love. She had a lot of man who wanted to marry her but her heart seemed frozen. She didn’t get married. She told she would never get married. My Grandfather and Grandmother were sad. Before they died, they only wished a thing: their daughter got married. But this didn’t happen. Now she lives all alone in a small village. Every body loves her.

I think the time passed, pain passed and I hope you will believe in the future. I trust a good girl like you will always happy. Don’t scare of anything, Satya. When you meet a person who can bring happiness and smiling for you, come to him.

The teaching profession is one of the noblest one. You are become a happiest person on Teacher’s celebration. I trust that you will proud of teaching profession. On Teacher’s day occasion, I give you the best greetings.

I wish you are always young, happy and successful in your life. I also wish you are always a good, cheerful teacher and you always have obedient, intelligent students.

Finn’s family has 7 peoples. Every people have a character. This make an own interesting.

Finn’s father is an architect. He is sizzling - hot. Finn’s mother is a housewife. She is always nagging. If anybody in his family make house dirty, she will grumble all day. His eldest brother is a sportsman. He is delighter and hunk. He can lift him off lightly. His second brother works for a construction company. He is also horrendous.

Finn has two sisters. The first sister is a doctor. She is skeletal. She seems malnourished. She has a trouble about stomachache. The second sister is a journalist. She is tall and voluptuous. She looks vibrant. She is always hilarious. Everybody often say that she is very drop – dead gorgeous.

And Finn is a handsome boy. He is not tall, not fat. He is middle – sized.

Interview Singaporian (Groups Huong, Febry and Youn Yourng)

Today, my groups consist of Febry, Youn Yourng and me (Huong) went to the Raffle city to interview the Singaporean. I felt that this activity really interesting because it made me more confident. I felt a bit nerves before I interviewed. But then when I interview a girl whose name is Fionawo, nervousness seemed disappearing. She was very friendly, open – hearted and comfortable. She is a Singaporean. She worked for Prudential insurance Company in Singapore. She likes swimming, shopping and she likes to go to spa. She has been to Vietnam. I have known this because she asked me back that Where I am from. She made me more confident.

In my groups, Febry, Youn Yourng also felt things like me. They said that this activity made them more confident and they could know what the Singaporian like to do. They could compare difference between countries.
I also observed everybody and I found that the Singaporean likes shopping. They often bye a lot of thing, especially clothes, shoes and bags. Because when I sat to observe in The Raffle city, I saw they came in clothes shops, shoes shops and bags very crowed. And they went out these shop, they brought a lots of clothes, bags and shoes.

If I was a boy, I think I would spent all time to do anything that before I couldn't do when I was a girl. I want to revenge the boys.
I would sleep all day. I would go out to drink beer, alcohol with my friend. I would eat anything I want. I wouldn't have pregnant. I wouldn't cook a meal. I would play game that I like. I would go to philander with the girls. That is wonderful!
But after I do all above things I would fall love the boy more. Because, they are really hard.
They are a part of us.

Shan is a German. He is 18 years old. Last year, his parents let him go to visit his uncle in America, from his country a half of the Earth. The geography showed that. For him, everything in America was very strange. He waited his uncle to pick up but he didn’t see his uncle. So, he decided to walk alone for a while.

At first, he went to along street. “The population in here is crowded. People seem hurriedly. Cars run with high speed. It is different with my country”. He thought that. Suddenly, he saw a couple of gay was kissing on the road. He stared at them. He thought he was mistaken. He wore his glasses. He didn’t mistake. It was truth. Then he closed his eyes and held on dry stone wall and went on. When he opened his eyes, a casino appeared in front of him. Curiously, he went into. There are a lot of people was playing gambling. A man moved toward and invited him come in. He was scared so much and ran out. He looked up the sky. The weather was hot. He was thirsty and hungry. He wanted to find a restaurant to rest. He continued go ahead. There was a restaurant beside a river. He came in and found a place for him. He sat in a pink, long chair. He looked at the menu. After a while, he called a cup of tea and a cake of pie. Because he hungry so he ate ravenously. He felt seem to have somebody looking him. He held him head up. A little boy with a cap was looking at him. The little boy said that there was something in his chin. He put his hand on his chin, pieces of pie on his chin. He said to thank for little boy and continued to eat. He was very please with food of this restaurant. He took a pen and recorded restaurant address on a piece of paper. Then he used a ruler underline to remember. He paid the bill and stood up to go out. When he was going through the kitchen of the restaurant, he saw a man who worn a white clothes like a ghost. That man was catching a cat to cut it. A pig was hanging on the wall and also was prepared to meat. Besides, his concubine, he guessed that because the way he called her, was slaughtering a rabbit. He wondered that why they could eat that animals. That was terrible.

He went out of the restaurant. It was raining. Suddenly, he remembered his uncle waiting him in station. He ran toward station.

A story: The old goat

A 70 years old – old woman and a 75 years old – old man lived together over 50 years. One day, they decided to go to the mountain. They wanted to look back on the events of their life.

On the road, they stopped to rest in an ancient tree. Suddenly, the old woman saw an old goat. She looked at the old man and smiled: “Did you remember your image ago?” The old man asked curiously: “My image? What like?” The old woman answered: “After graduation, you looked thin and green like a ghost. You had a goatee beard like an old goat. Peter, your friend, hated you and he found enough way to play a dirty you. He has known that I always listen to my grandmother and grandfather. So, he went to meet them. He came in to the house and greeted politely. He said that you were not a good person. You were not a man and you were not a woman, too. You were a gay. He also said that if my grandparents didn’t believe, they could tell you get off your clothes to see. You used to take a ginger while played game. You played game all day. You didn’t care to learn.You pretended to be fall in love me to fool people.

At first, my grandmother and grandfather scared. They were worried about me. They thought that if it was truth, they didn’t have generation to maintain the continuity of a family line. But they were very generous. Then they found about you and it didn’t truth”.

And the old woman continued: “Oh, You are forever my old goat”.

The sun was finally setting across the horizon. The father and his son walked silently, went back their home.

They didn't catch any fish. The father sat on front the door and breathe a sigh. He was sad. He looked away outside the sea. Waves was crashing onto the beach. He thought that: "there is nothing to sell for earn money to live....for my son". His eyes seemed tired and disappointed. He sat for a while and he stood up. "Tomorrow...Tomorrow....Every cloud has a silver lining".

The son looked at his father. He didn't understand. But then he suddently realize somethings.

He ran out the sea. He ran and ran. He was finding somethings. About one hour later, he came back home. On his hand, he taken a big fish.He told with his father: "My daddy, I catched a fish....". The father look up his son. He said: "Oh, my son.....". They looked at each other and seemed understanding all.

They continued their works. The son went to cook for dinner. The father prepared for put out to sea tomorrow. He believed in tomorrow. He will have alot of fishes to sell to bring up his children. His son will be learnt like diffirent childrens.

Waves was still crashing onto the beach......

Satya's boyfriends and advices for her

Satya said that she had a trouble that she wanted to advices from us. She had 2 boyfriends named Mike and Andrew.

Now Mike is living in Australia. He was gently and sweet but she doesn't often talks with him.
Andrew is living in Canada now. He was intelligent. He listened and understood what she told but he was selfish and sometimes rude. They often talk each other through internet.

This is a difficult trouble. Because it is a emotional story that emotion is difficult to give advices. But I think that it depends on yourself. If you want to make friend with them, both of them 'll good friends. But if you want to choose one of them become your boyfriend I think you should follow your feeling and tellings of heart.

I hope you 'll find a person that always go together with you to the road 's the end.

Debate: Do we should do away with examination

There are many ideas about "Do we should do away with examination" but for me, I think that we shouldn't do away with examination because of reasons following:

1. In our society, we still need a certificate to apply for works. The Certificate is admittance about knowledge of a student. So we organize exams to have certificate.

2. If we participate to exam, we will have competition between contenders about knowledge.

3. Help our students study better.

4. For works demanding hard skill, we must educate formal in the Universities. So, we have to exams.

Write summarize about film: The Wall - E

I watched a film really meaningful. According to my understanding, the film tells about our Earth - Life of the Earth. Although different planets can have life that we don’t know but the earth is still where only to be life of people. It is never change.

The film begins with life of Robots. The film turns around two Robots: A old Robot and a new Robot. The human live in the Earth moved to a another planet to live. Because in the Earth hadn’t waters, trees. However, to come back the Earth, they must be have a tree. So they took new Robots in the earth to find that tree. In here, the new Robot met the old Robot. In journey go to different planet, they realize that they fall in love and sentiment betweens people with people is the most important. And nowhere likes the earth. Although they are lived in place that every thing is modern, automatic and they only come in for but only living in the earth where bring to life and emotion is to be. And they make everybody of robots world understand. They with the captain come back the earth. The tree was a link to took their come back the earth.

The film bring us a view about life. The earth is life of human. So we must protect it and we must plant many trees to protect our planet. Protect environment is protect the earth.

Content of Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 told about Huck’s escape and meeting Jim.
After his father didn’t ask for money from Judge Thatcher, he watched for Huck. One day in the spring he grabbed him and took him up the woody with no house. He lock him in the cabin. He had tried to get out of that cabin many time but he couldn’t. And finally he figure out how to get out.
After, he escaped and came to a island. In here, he met Jim, a slave of miss Watson. Afterwards, Huck and Jim would have interesting adventures.

His early life
He was born in Blenheim Palace, Wood stock, on 30th November, 1874. His father was a Conservative politician. His mother, Jennie Jerome, was the daughter of Leonard Jerome, a New York businessman.
On child hood, he learnt at boarding school. He participated to exam on Harrow school and he was accepted on school but he was arranged the class below where only taught English.
When he was 20 years old, after being educated at Harrow, he went to the Royal Military College at Sand Hurst. He joined the Army in Indian.

Churchill and Military
In 1985, he joined the Fourth Hussars. While in the Army, he started finding the Wars. He saw action the Indian North – West frontier and in the Sudan where he took part in the Battle of Omdurman (1898)
While in the Army, he worked as a journalist for The Morning post. He wrote books such as “The story of the Malakand Field Force”, “The Rive war” (1899)

His life as a politician
In 1899, he left the Army. He decided to participate to Correspondent.
In 1900, on General Election, he was elected as the Conservative. However, he had a difference of opinion with the Conservative Party member, he joined the Liberal Party. He was became a member of the new liberal Government. He worked as Under Secretary of State for the colonies.
On 12th September 1908, he married.
From 1917 to 1924, he became as a Minister of Munitions and Minister of Finance and was elected to represent Epping in the 1924 General Election.
On the outbreak of the Second World War, he was appointed First Lord of the Admiralty and on 4th April 1940, he became chairman of the Military Coordinating Committee.
On May, 1940, he was appointed to Prime Minister and he set up many Parties.

His final years
He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
In 1955, he retired from politics
He died on 24th January, 1965.

Every time, melody of the song “Yesterday” resounds with sad harmony, it made me moved. It seems a story, a story of the Love and the love of life. In order to have the today you have to go through the yesterday. The yesterday with many memories made us couldn’t forget. Those memories can nice, can sad but all are always in your heart. So, today, when you sit here and remember happening, you feel that: The Yesterday is the nicest. The Yesterday is the today. The today is the tomorrow. My mother

My mother is 60 years old. She is a retired accountant. She is thin and small. Her life is too hard. But she is a beautiful woman. When she smiles, her face is alight with joy. The whole of her life are for family. She brings up and takes care childrens from sleep to family meal. That is her happiness.

When we are ill, she worries and doesn't sleep. Her dark eyes show that she doesn't sleep.

When we meet with serious difficulties in our life, she gives us advices and encourages us overcome.

My father died 10 years ago. She is actually sad. So, we are become her solace.

The adventures of Huckleberry Finn

I read the whole of story "The adventures of Huckleberry Finn". But I only read to skim through to understand main contents of story. In order to understand clearly contents, every week l'll read 2 chapters and write about each character 's characteristis of story.

Chapter 1 and chapter 2

Contents of 2 chapters told about Huck's new life and his father returns. After adventures with Tom Sawyer, Huck was taken in and raised by The Widow Douglas as her own son. The Widow made him wash, dress up and eat all his meals at regular hours. Suddenly, his father came back and upset his life before.

Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 had many characters as Huck, The Widow Douglas, Miss Watson, Judge Thatcher, his father...But I really like Huck 's characteristis. Because, he was cleave, love freedom. This charactesistis made attactive of his adventures afterwards.

What and when make you the happiest?

For me, I feel the happiest when I come back my family. Coming back my family is living with myself.

When I have problems in my works or I have difficult in anything of life, I often have supportive from my father, my mother, my sisters. My father give me advices of old - timer, my mother give me words of comfort, my sister show me what I should do.

You try to imagine: If you are sad, my mother cook for you a hearty meal. You seem forget all worries. You can play with your niece and your nephew, happiness again come you. You are the happiest person.

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were the one of Seven Wonders of ancient of the World.

The legend had it that: The Gardens were built by The Chaldean 's King to pleased his sickwife, Amytis of Media. So, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon not only expressed glorious but also expressed the Love of the King for his wife.

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were built next to The King's Palace, on the East banks of the River Euphrates, about 50 km south of Baghdad, Iraq.

They were built on a small hill with square shape, consists of 4 floor. Each floor standed 25 metres apart. Each floor was a garden which was connected by large stairs. The bottom floor had area of 60.516 square metrers that was on column system with 625 stone columns. This column system were the more higher, the more narrower. The number of columns were less than. The seconds floor had 441 columns; The thirds floor had 289 columns; The top floor had 169 columns. The area of the top floor was 1/2 the bottom floor. Each floor were built following vault style.

The Gardens had enough sweet - smelling flowers, strange grasses and a lot of rare trees.

Streams of water was taken from elevated sources flow down sloping channels. These water irrigated the whole gardens.

The Gardens were destroyed by several earthquaskes after the 2nd century BCE. Nowadays, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon just remained ruins with collapse drystone wall.

Every years, the tourist came here to contemplate the rest of the foundation 's the bottom floor of Hanging gardens.

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon was masterpiece of the human.

Bookstore

Today, my teacher, Satya, lead to us go to the bookstore. In here, we chosen and bought anybook that we like.

I chosen a book which called: "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn". It was written by Mark Twain.

I hope that I can read it and I can find a lot of interesting things.

New approach

I actually impress about the way of learning English in Singapore. You can have a lot of different ways to approach a problem. In order to learn new words, you can play crosswords or play tic tac toe. If you want to improve general knowledge, you can take quiz or questionnaire. You can also go to the Library to find information. On the other hand, it is necessary to practise writing English in way write essay. When you completed essay, you can take it for your teacher to check and correct the mistakes.

Tell about myself

My name is Huong. I come from Vietnam. I am 29 years old. I am a singer. Now, I am working for the Legal Department, it belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture and rural development of Vietnam.

My family has 5 members; my father, my mother, my elder sister, my younger sister and I.

My father worked in the Army. He died 10 years ago. My mother is an accountant. She is 60 years old. She is retired. Now, she is a housewife. She lives with my elder sister 's family and she takes care her daughter.

My elder sister is 36 years old. She is a teacher. She is a beautiful woman. She is married and has 2 children, a son and a daughter. Her husband is an engineer. My younger sister is 22 years old. She is a student.

I actually like learning English. Because it is helpful for my job. So I register to learn English in Singapore, TMC.

I want to learn English well. Then I want to participate Law course abroad because my work related to making law, amending law. But now I still have not Law Certificate. So I really want to study Law in English abroad as Havard, USA. This is my dream. I hope that I will do that.
